2005 Octaves of Light, dichroic glass, aluminum and stainless steel, 40' X 32' X 25’
Octaves of Light suggests a fantastical musical instrument floating in space. The arcs of the instrument suggest a stringed bow. Each bow has a radius of twenty-seven feet and a cord length of thirty-four feet. These bows are suspended from the architectural columns and radically offset from each other, creating a dynamic spatial dance. Bows have a set of twelve double ellipses of dichroic glass radiating out like keys on a piano.
