Efflorescence

Cedar Falls Public Library | Cedar Falls, Iowa.

2015   Efflorescense, dichroic glass, aluminum, stainless steel cable, and hardware, 40' x 40' x 25'

Efflorescense reflects and projects colors created by diachromatic glass and complements the architectural geometry with symmetry. The colorful, reflective qualities of the dichroic glass create a sense of kinetic movement that suggests an ongoing progression of space and time. The piece encourages and enables viewers to have a different interpretation of the sculpture depending on the quality of the day, creating a mysterious and delightful experience that only builds with repeated visits.
